Fishermens Walk: Long Route

This is a longer version of the Fishermen's Walk. We walk from Cotobro to La Herradura and there are lovely views of the beaches and the bays below. This walk is 11.2km long and takes approximately 4 hours to complete.

Cantarriján: Cerro Gordo - Cañuelo

This is a circular coastal walk from Cerro Gordo, to Playa Cantariján and Playa Cañuelo and then back. This walk is 9km long and takes approximately 4 hours to complete.

Acebuchal: Loop Walk

This route starts with a steep initial climb up and continues along the El Pinar ridge towards Puerto Blanquilla and then down to the village. This walk is 11.9km long and takes approximately 4 hours to complete.

Maro: Abandoned Quarry and Stone Arch

This Maro circular route walks up to a stone arch, an abandoned quarry and an old cortijo ruin. The walk is 9.71km long and takes approximately 3 hours to complete.

Molvízar: Lungbuster Walk

This is a fairly strenuous walk up and around the hills above the village of Molvízar. The walk is 15.3km long and takes approximately 5.5 hours to complete.

Almuñécar: Loma del Gato walk

This is an easy walk into the hills behind Almuñécar and there are good views over the sea above Taramay. This walk is 13km long and takes approximately 5 hours to complete.

Cantarriján: Playa Cañuelo

This is an easy, short circular walk from Playa Cantarriján to Playa Cañuelo. This walk is 6km long and take approximately 3 hours to complete.

La Herradura: Fishermen’s Walk

This is a short version of the Fishermen's Walk. We climb up to the hills above Marina del Este and La Herradura and there are lovely views of the beach and the bay. This walk is 6.5km long and takes approximately 3 hours to complete.

Meson Los Prados: Pico Lopera

This is a moderate walk from Meson Los Prados to Pico Lopera. The walk is 12.6km long and takes approximately 4 hours to complete.

Ótivar: Rio Verde Lake - Petrified Waterfall

This is a lovely scenic trail with spectacular mountain scenery, a lake and a petrified tree waterfall. This walk is 10km long and take approximately 4 hours to complete.

Lentegí: Hidden Buddha Walk

This is a fairly easy walk into the hills above the village of Lentegí. This walk is 15.8km long and takes approximately 5 hours to complete.

La Herradura: Bee Eater Walk

This walk was named the "Bee-eater Walk" by Trevor because in the spring and summer, it is possible to see brightly-coloured Bee Eater birds. This walk is 13.4km long and takes approximately 5 hours to complete.

Acebuchal: Long Walk (Lollipop)

This clockwise route is the longest of the walks above the village Acebuchal. It climbs up to below the Venta de Panaderos and has fantastic views. This walk is approximately 19km long and takes approximately 6 hours to complete.

Los Guajares: figure of eight walk

This walk is one of several exploring the area of Los Guajares. This is a figure of eight route and it starts just after the village of Guajar Faraguït. The walk is 9km long and takes approximately 4 hours to complete.
